In essence, Synthetic Memories inject relevant context to personas so they can provide more relevant and influenced data answers.
In OpinioAI, memories can be added directly to the Synthetic Persona (via the form on the right):

Or via Memory Bank, which is a completely new feature found in Setup.

We have built two distinct memory types you can use today: Short-term and Long-term memory. They indeed are different, are used differently, with a different purpose.
Let’s expand on the Long-term memory.
Long-term Synthetic Memory
This type of memory uses proprietary data in many formats to give data focused context to your personas. The data can be of any type and will be used as long as it provides value to personas, and fits the persona traits it will use the data.
This is useful if you need persona to contextualize a data set with broad use cases, such are to ‘have seen and lived’ an ad or remember previous conversations (exported from the transcriptions), or simply mold their opinions based on the data context.
And it works simply in several steps… First, create a Memory.

Either in Setup or Persona just click on Create New Memory to add a new Memory bank:

Once you click there, just set the name and description so you can find it later easily.

2.Upload Your Data
Once you’ve initialized memory creation you’ll see form to upload the file. Synthetic Memories supports a wide range of file types to accommodate all your organizational knowledge:
- Documents: PDF reports, research papers, strategy documents
- Spreadsheets: CSV files, Excel workbooks with market data, customer databases
- Media Files: Images, audio recordings, video content
- Text Files: Markdown documents, plain text, JSON data structures

3. Use A Memory
This approach of creating Memory banks allows us to reuse memories, attach them to different personas or attach multiple memories to personas.
